Letter from the Editor

The kids were finally asleep and my husband of eight years was in bed. Not feeling particularly passionate but wanting to, I decided to try surfing the Internet for something to get me "in the mood". I plugged in some search words: "sensuality", "married sex", "passion" and YIKES! What popped up mostly left me repulsed - so many in-your-face images, devoid of love or beauty, and even outright degrading. Nothing to truly fuel my intimate connection to the person I've chosen to spend the rest of my life with.
At that moment the vision for Monogamy Magazine: A Celebration of Intimate Love was born. Then and there I decided it is my mission to fill this desperate void in our media world today by creating a magazine that celebrates, honors and nourishes the intimate connection within long-term couples.
When is the last time you saw or read a steamy sex scene between a married man and woman (who were married to each other)?! The message seems to be that married sex is boring: once the honeymoon (or one-night stand for that matter) is over, then there's nothing left worth writing about, photographing or filming.
Well, I have faith that this is far from the truth. I know that your marriage can be robust with desire, passion and a deep, intimate connection. Monogamy Magazine is an instrument that will lead you and your partner to deepen that connection and raise your level of passion to new heights (or at least have you holding hands more often).
So please have a look around this website, get a feel for what Monogamy Magazine will offer and be sure to reply to the Monogamy Magazine Survey to help propel into the world this overdue proponent of love and desire!

Thank you,
